Robin Stevenson is the author of a number of novels for teens and children, including the teen novel A Thousand Shades of Blue (2008), which was a finalist for the Governor General's Literary Award and Sheila A. Egoff Children's Literature Prize, and the middle grade novel Impossible Things (2008), which is currently a finalist for two readers choice awards (the Chocolate Lily and Diamond Willow).

Robin was a book-obsessed kid and the opportunity to share her love of books through school visits, conferences, and writing workshops has been an unanticipated bonus to becoming an author. She has presented to students ranging from grade 4 to grade 12, groups of writers, teachers and librarians, and groups of all sizes. Robin spent ten years working as a counsellor and social worker and has taught as a sessional instructor at the University of Victoria since 2001. She is experienced at facilitating group discussion and at holding the attention and engaging the interest of her audience. Her presentations are interactive and can be adapted to meet the needs of individual groups.

Robin grew up in England and Ontario and now lives in Victoria, BC with her partner and five year old son.
